Business Development Professional – Valuation Practice
Objective, Investment Banking & Valuation is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Professional responsible for generating and developing new business opportunities for Objective’s Valuation Practice. This role focuses exclusively on valuation services, including 409A valuations, Business Enterprise Valuations (BEVs), fairness opinions, and related advisory engagements.
This is a revenue-driving role ideal for someone who understands professional services selling, values long-term relationships, and can credibly engage founders, executives, CFOs, boards, and professional referral partners. Title and compensation will be commensurate with experience and demonstrated performance.

As our Valuation Practice continues to grow, we are expanding our business development capabilities and seeking a driven professional to help accelerate that growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Valuation Practice Business Development
Identify, qualify, and develop new valuation engagements across targeted client segments, with a focus on 409A valuations, BEVs, and other valuation and advisory services.
Client Acquisition & Opportunity Development
Engage prospective clients to understand valuation needs, educate them on service offerings, and convert opportunities into signed engagements.
Referral Partner Relationship Management
Build and expand relationships with attorneys, accountants, venture capital and private equity professionals, family offices, and other advisors who regularly require valuation services.
Outbound Business Development Activities
Execute targeted outbound initiatives including direct outreach, email campaigns, webinars, conferences, and industry events to generate qualified valuation opportunities.
Pipeline & CRM Management
Own the valuation pipeline within DealCloud, including lead entry, opportunity tracking, forecasting, and reporting. Maintain strong CRM discipline and data integrity.
Practice Growth Strategy
Collaborate with Valuation Practice leadership to refine go-to-market strategy, pricing approaches, service positioning, and priority market segments.
Market & Industry Intelligence
Monitor valuation-related regulatory guidance, accounting standards, market activity, and competitive dynamics to proactively identify opportunities and position the firm effectively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with valuation professionals, marketing, and firm leadership to ensure a seamless client experience from initial contact through engagement execution.
Digital Lead Generation
Support the development and execution of scalable digital lead generation initiatives for valuation services in partnership with marketing.
Professional Representation
Represent Objective’s Valuation Practice with credibility, professionalism, and clear communication in all client, referral partner, and industry interactions.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
- 5–10+ years of experience in business development, valuation, accounting, investment banking, or professional services
- Proven ability to generate and close professional services engagements
- Established relationships with professional referral partners strongly preferred
- Strong executive presence and consultative selling skills
- Highly self-motivated, accountable, and results-driven
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Experience using CRM systems; DealCloud or Hubspot experience would be great but not required
