“The ECS & GTS management teams have done an exceptional job of building the companies into leaders in the energy efficiency and building automation markets,” said Trever Acers, Managing Director at Objective Capital Partners. “By closely listening to the Founder’s objectives, communicating the businesses’ unique story, and positioning the companies to highlight their full value, we were able to engage a high-fit partner in Albireo Energy. Albireo Energy’s platform will provide the ECS and GTS teams the opportunity to grow their businesses to the next level and continue to provide customers with exceptional energy solutions. It’s gratifying to see passionate entrepreneurs not only harvest the fruits of their labor but also become part of a larger company that reflects their work ethic, innovation and commitment to client satisfaction. It was a pleasure working with the management teams and we look forward to watching the companies’ continued success.”

Together, ECS and GTS provide building automation solutions and energy services to Fortune 500 companies, large REITS, military bases and data centers. As divisions of Albireo Energy, the two companies will retain their names and remain headquartered in California to grow operations in the Western U.S. “We have had tremendous success in the western region, and our customers have been asking ECS to expand our geographic reach and scope of services for years. Being part of Albireo Energy will enable us to meet that demand and bring more resources to the market and our current customers,” said Zbigniew Cabaj, President of ECS. “Our entire management team is excited about the tremendous growth opportunity Albireo Energy provides. Working with Objective Capital Partners to achieve this sale exceeded my expectations. I can’t recall the last time I found such a hard-working, supportive and focused team…other than my own! Trever and his group at Objective Capital Partners helped us capture the value we’ve built over the last 18 years and positioned our team for continued success for years to come.”[1]

“The acquisitions of ECS and GTS are a significant milestone for Albireo Energy both in geographic reach and the addition of municipal and government expertise. Our goal was to increase our presence on the West Coast and in particular, California,” said Phil Bomrad, CEO of Albireo Energy. “The acquisitions of ECS and GTS allow us to immediately and emphatically realize that mission. It was an impressive experience collaborating with the team at Objective Capital Partners to realize our goal.”

Zbigniew Cabaj will continue forward as President of ECS, and with Albireo’s resourceful team and infrastructure behind him, the business will proceed with plans to expand the West Coast service footprint significantly.
